WJEC provides, and will continue to provide, GCE Geology qualifications which meet the needs of teachers and the requirements of regulators in both England and Wales.
The WJEC Geology Specification provides a firm basis for further study in geology and a pathway to a geological career. The Specification develops scientific insights into the natural environment, deepens understanding and appreciation of landscape and scenery and addresses a broad range of environmental and sustainability issues.

For centres in Wales: Designated WJEC AS and A Level Geology (for teaching from 2017)
WJEC has developed a reformed an AS and A level Geology qualification, regulated by Ofqual and designated by Qualifications Wales, for teaching from 2017. This qualification meets regulatory requirements in Wales and England.
