Engineering Level 1 / 2 Award
The Level 1 / 2 Award in Engineering provides a more practical alternative to GCSE. The qualification is based around the world of engineering and aims to introduce students to the various strands available within the field. The qualification offers students the chance to develop knowledge, skills and understanding through tasks set in realistic work-related contexts.
Statement of Purpose
Centres should check all WJEC key dates for unit moderation and external examination.
Engineering Level 1 / 2 Award (IVQ) is split into units and the assessment is both internally and externally.
The Award consists of three mandatory units. Internally assessed work must be completed within a centre and adopt the principles of controlled assessment.
